Charlie is a lonely teenager, home for the summer. What’s on Charlie’s mind is his brother, Francis, who’s been in psychiatric care the past year. Charlie’s been reading the journal that Francis left behind. Charlie’s mother, Mary, has left him in charge of the family dog, Sticks, for a few days.
