At the foot of Mount Wanxiang lies Heidingzi Village, home to the three Xie brothers. One particularly harsh winter, the second brother defies the family’s ancestral taboo and ventures deep into the mountains to dig for ginseng. Soon after his return, he dies under mysterious circumstances.
