A young aviator engineer, Hryhorii Mnogogrishnyi, escapes from a train carrying prisoners to a Siberian concentration camp. After struggling to survive in the wild, Hryhorii finds refuge in the Sirki family, Ukrainian immigrants who live in harmony with nature and hunt tigers.
