Hans Werner Hirsch a.k.a. Surava was a journalist. He wrote about the deportation of French Jews, and the Swiss government chased him because the Swiss government was Nazi-friendly. The Swiss intelligence service (Bundespolizei) knew him as a "communist Jew".
