Ali is about to lose his farm through foreclosure because he cannot repay his debt. However, Ali pays the money at the last minute and saves his land. Rüstem Ağa, who has his eye on Ali's wife Ayşe, begins to plot various intrigues. He burns Ali's barn and pins the blame on someone else.
