A young mother and her toddler daughter, Leila, are going to the beach by boat. Their boat capsizes due to a falling tree, and the mother is killed. A young fisherman named Kami rescues the now blind Leila and takes her to his hut. Their hut burns down, and the boy and Leila go to Tehran.
