Overseas student Zheng Yihua and her native Korean classmate Soo-ok are bosom friends. Suspecting appendicitis, Zheng is rushed to the hospital for an emergency operation performed by Lee Sang-hyun. Soo-ok falls head over heels for the surgeon, who ironically takes a fancy to his patient.
