Jan Svěrák (Czech pronunciation: [ˈjan ˈsvjɛraːk]) (born 6 February 1965 in Žatec) is a Czech film director. He is the son of screenwriter and actor Zdeněk Svěrák. He studied documentary filmmaking at FAMU.
